Aoskway, sur les traces de l’orignal

Aoskway, sur les traces de l’orignal is a documentary flm featuring Brad Gros-Louis, a young Wendat artist driven by a desire to share his love and passion for the moose; a highly symbolic and mythical creature in his culture.

The film follows Brad as he and his non-Indigenous friends trek through the Portneuf Wildlife Reserve on a quest to find the animal. Along the way, he shares his knowledge of ancestral hunting practices and values. During their expedition, they talk about their views on hunting, the passing on of traditions, their past experiences and the profound respect they all hold for the sacred animal. More than just a portrayal of a traditional moose hunt, this film delivers a powerful message about the relationships forged between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, and the wealth of our natural environment.
